Llao Llao Golf Club operates
outside every standard booking channel that exists.

Access to Llao Llao Golf Club — inside Nahuel Huapi National Park, on a peninsula between two glacial lakes — comes through two channels: hotel guests at the Llao Llao Resort, and vetted operators with standing institutional relationships. AGA holds both. This is the access architecture that no booking platform or general travel agent can replicate.

The Destination

Patagonia. The Golf That
Made Everything Else Feel Ordinary.

Inside Nahuel Huapi National Park, at the edge of a glacial lake, with the Andes rising directly behind the green — Llao Llao Golf Club is the course groups describe, consistently, as the most visually extraordinary round they have ever played. Not the most difficult. Not the longest. The most beautiful, by a margin that makes comparison uncomfortable.

Chapelco Golf Club — a Jack Nicklaus Signature design opened in 2004 in San Martín de los Andes — sits at elevation with panoramic Andean views from every tee. Arelauquen Golf & Country Club, northeast of Bariloche, was completely redesigned with an automatic irrigation system and computer-managed maintenance to championship standard.

A Patagonia golf program is the reason groups extend from Buenos Aires. Jockey Club on Tuesday, Llao Llao on Saturday. The Buenos Aires + Patagonia combination — the flagship AGA program — is the circuit that most completely captures what Argentine golf actually means.

Groups that have played Pebble Beach, Bandon Dunes, Royal Melbourne — courses that define golf travel at its highest level — consistently describe Llao Llao as the round that ended the conversation about where to go next. That is the standard of the comparison.

01

Llao Llao — Two Access Channels Only

Hotel guests at the Llao Llao Resort and vetted operators with institutional standing. No booking platform, no visitor tee time, no walk-in window. AGA holds both access channels and uses them in every Patagonia program.

02

Jack Nicklaus at Chapelco

Chapelco Golf Club was designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened in 2004. A Signature design with panoramic Andean views from every elevated tee. Wide fairways, meticulously maintained, the kind of setting where concentration on the scorecard becomes genuinely difficult.

03

Arelauquen — Championship Redesign

Arelauquen Golf & Country Club, 15 minutes from Bariloche by road 82, was redesigned with the latest construction techniques, including an automatic irrigation system managed by computer. Officially approved by the Argentine Golf Association at championship standard.

04

Nahuel Huapi National Park

Llao Llao sits inside Nahuel Huapi National Park — a UNESCO-designated biosphere reserve of 700,000 hectares. The round is played inside one of the most protected natural environments in South America.

The Courses

Patagonia's Private Golf Clubs.
The Andes on Every Hole.

Three courses in the Bariloche and San Martín de los Andes area — none with public tee times, each offering the kind of scenery that changes a golfer's reference point for what a round can be.

Flagship · Vetted Operators & Hotel Guests Only · Nahuel Huapi

Llao Llao Golf Club

Inside Nahuel Huapi National Park, on a peninsula between two glacial lakes, with the Andes rising directly behind the 18th green. The course that defines Patagonia golf for international visitors — and that is accessible through exactly two channels: guests of the Llao Llao Hotel & Resort, and operators with standing institutional relationships. The access cannot be purchased from a booking platform, arranged through a hotel concierge, or obtained by contacting the club directly as a visitor. AGA holds both channels. The round is described, consistently, by groups that have played the world's best courses, as the most visually extraordinary they have ever played.

02
Jack Nicklaus Signature · 2004 · San Martín de los Andes

Chapelco Golf Club

Designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened in 2004 — the latest and most prominent designer-signature course in Patagonia. Wide fairways, immaculate conditions, panoramic Andean views from every elevated tee position. The course where the scenery is so consistent that forgetting to keep score is a documented phenomenon. The anchor of AGA's San Martín de los Andes extension.

03
Private Residential · Championship Redesign · Bariloche

Arelauquen Golf & Country Club

Located 15 minutes from Bariloche on road 82, northeast of Lake Gutiérrez, in a wide valley that narrows toward the lake. Completely redesigned with the latest construction techniques, automatic computer-managed irrigation, and championship conditioning approved by the Argentine Golf Association. Views of Cerro Otto, Cerro Catedral, and the crystal-clear waters of Lake Gutiérrez on every hole. Paired with Llao Llao, the two-club Bariloche circuit that is the defining combination in Argentine Patagonia golf.

The Experience

"The first tee at Llao Llao looks out over a lake you will recognize from no photograph you have ever seen. The Andes rise behind the green. The air is cold and clean and thin. The round that follows is the one that ends all conversations about where to go next."

Everything else in golf travel becomes context after Llao Llao. The scale, the silence, the quality of the light in the morning as it crosses the glacial lake — there is no equivalent in the standard golf travel circuit, at any price, on any continent.

"Nobody at our club had played these courses. That's harder to achieve than the golf itself. AGA delivered both."

Before You Inquire

The Questions We Answer Every Week.

Can we book Llao Llao Golf Club as hotel guests without AGA?

Hotel guests of the Llao Llao Resort can access the golf club — but the tee time availability for groups, the coordination of cart bookings, the sequencing with Arelauquen and Chapelco, and the full ground program require an operator. AGA coordinates the hotel stay and the golf access as a unified program, not two separate bookings.

Patagonia standalone, or combined with Buenos Aires?

Both work well. The most requested program combines Jockey Club in Buenos Aires with the Patagonia circuit — 10 to 12 nights, 6 rounds across two completely different environments. Groups with limited time, or those who have already done Buenos Aires, book Patagonia standalone.

How does AGA compare to other Patagonia golf operators?

Comparable programs with the larger international operators run USD 10,000–12,000 per person. AGA operates boutique — every departure is private, every itinerary is custom, and the access to Llao Llao and Arelauquen is not available through any standard catalog at any price.
